General Requirements:

• Must be participating in a valid educational program which requires an internship for class credit
• Minimum of 18 years in age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passion for animal welfare
• Familiarity with PC use, including Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
• No allergic conditions which would be aggravated by animals present in the work place

ARF offers a variety of LEAPS positions within our different departments including Animal Care, Dog Training, People Connect, and Volunteer Services. LEAPS volunteers work with a highly visible, community-oriented non-profit, helping to enrich the lives of animals and enhance the human-animal bond.

Upon completion, volunteers may request a letter of recommendation from their immediate supervisor.
